Alejandro Aguirre

About
Poet Alejandro Aguirre is an MFA candidate at Boston University. In 2023, he judged Poetry's annual prizes. He has also served as editor in chief at Tea Literary & Arts Magazine and poetry editor at Clinch Literary Magazine. As an undergrad at the University of Florida, Alejandro received the Samuel "Bud" Shorstein Creative Writing Award. He was twice a finalist for the Atlanta Review's Dan Veach Prize for Younger Poets and received honorable mention for Lyric Magazine's College Poetry Contest. His poems are published/forthcoming in Rattle, Louisiana Literature, I-70 Review, Hawai’i Pacific Review, and elsewhere.
